《Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)》是首节奏欢快的舞曲，高唱单身女士独立宣言，十分惊艳，碧昂丝在这首歌里淋漓尽致地展示了非凡的唱功。“If you liked it, then you shoulda put a ring on it”这句歌词就是在提醒那些未兑现诺言的男士们。在内的大多数曲目更接近她以前那种动感的曲风，让歌迷见识了Beyonce赖以成名的R\u0026B曲风。这首歌被看成是碧昂丝个人权利的极度颂歌。
碧昂丝在接受公告牌杂志的采访的时候，曾透露《Single Ladies(Put A Ring On It )》的MV的灵感来源于Gwen Verdon在1969年拍摄的一个音乐视频。而且该歌曲的MV是她所以的MV以来拍摄时间最短的，所耗资金最少的。但同样在该MV的灯光、发型、服装、舞蹈编排上，也消耗了碧昂丝她们许多精力。
在MV里，碧昂丝和舞伴们穿着紧身哈衣跳着性感的舞蹈。没有镜头的切换，也没有服装的变化。碧昂丝本人也称该MV十分的简单。
